The ride is just over 29 miles long, Grade C, starting from the car park of the Merebrook Hotel besides Bromborough Railway Station on Allport Road and lasting around four hours.

The route goes out through Eastham to Raby, Thornton Hough and Arrowe Park, then past Saughall Massie and Leasowe to Wallasey, to Vale Park in New Brighton for lunch. The cafe there provides take-away drinks and snacks or you can bring your own. The return trip will be along Egremont Promenade to Seacombe, then Woodside, Rock Park and Port Sunlight and past Raby Mere back to Bromborough station.
