35 miles, Grade C: Bromborough to Ince and Chester Groves

The ride is just under 35 miles, Grade C, starting from the car park of the Merebrook Hotel, next to Bromborough Railway Station.

The route goes out through Eastham Village, Rivacre Valley and Ellesmere Port, then along Oil Sites Road and a quick tour around Ince before a snack break by the village green.  Continuing via Thornton, and on to Mickle Trafford and the Greenway, then through Hoole to the Groves by the River Dee at Chester for lunch (toilets, cafes and outside seating to eat your own food are all available).  After lunch around the racecourse, past the Countess of Chester Hospital and along the towpath of the Shropshire Union Canal to Lea-by-Backford, then back to Bromborough via Great Sutton, Little Sutton and Hooton Station.

There are no significant hills and a few sections (such as the canal towpath) on gravel tracks, but with good surfaces.   Here is the route on Komoot: Ince and the Greenway
