33 miles, Grade C: Hooton to Wepre Park via Lea-by-Backford

The ride will be 33 miles long, Grade C, starting from outside Hooton Railway Station.

The route leaves Hooton via Capenhurst and Lea-by-Backford, then down the towpath on the Shropshire Union canal, stopping for a quick break in the Countess of Chester Country Park, then back onto the canal to the Chester canal basin.  From there it goes along the bank of the River Dee to Queensferry and then up the hill through Shotton to the cafe at Wepre Park for lunch (or bringing your own sandwiches).  The return to Hooton is via Connahs Quay, Burton Marsh, Ness, Neston and along the Wirral Way as far as Willaston.
