This is a grade C ride of about 35 miles from outside Hooton Station.
Setting off the ride will go out via Willaston and Burton, across the marsh to Hawarden Railway Bridge then through Connah’s Quay to Flint Castle for a quick break. Then up Allt-Goch (quite steep) to Northop, before a long downhill stretch through Northop Hall to Wepre Park for lunch; there is a cafe there, and an outside seating area if you bring your own sandwiches, plus public toilets. The return trip will be through Queensferry, then along the cycle path parallel to the Welsh Road, past Capenhurst and via the missing link, back to Hooton Station.
