Distance is approx. 39 miles grade B. Not too hilly but quite long distance. There is a big hill near Chester Zoo. Tarmac – no off road.
Start from Merebrook car park, next to Bromborough station.
Route is via A41 ; A5117; Rake Lane; Mickle Trafford; Guilden Sutton; Christleton (banana stop); Waverton; Tarvin; Dunham on the Hill (picnic stop). Back via Thornton and Ellesmere Port. Click here for the route on Garmin Connect
Please bring sandwiches. We could stop for a coffee at Meadow Lea. Also shops available in Tarvin for take outs.
Return is back to Merebrook, but people could divert earlier to Ellesmere Port Station if desired.
