34 miles, Grade C: Hooton to Chester via Hawarden Bridge

34 miles, C ride pace, generally 10 to 12 mph. Well surfaced roads & bike paths, apart from a tiny off-road section near Guilden Sutton Lane. It’s pretty flat apart from a bit of a rise on Dee Lane up to Chester city centre.

The ride starts at Hooton station and heads to Willaston, across to Burton & the marshes, through Deeside industrial estate & onto the Dee cycle path, towards the riverfront at Chester. Care needed on a brief stretch of city centre road. Then along Hoole Lane to the lunch stop at The Piper.  Back to Hooton station via Guilden Sutton Lane, skirting Mickle Trafford, Picton Lane, the A5117 bike path, Ledsham Lane, & the Missing Link.
