Grade C ride, 37 miles, from Port Sunlight station to Tanskey’s at West Kirby, then returning to Port Sunlight.
The route takes us from Port Sunlight up through Bebington (via Red Hill) to Thornton Hough, Raby, Willaston along Hadlow Road to Burton, with a stop at the marsh for a break before climbing Denhall Lane. After descending to Parkgate, the route goes up Boathouse Lane to Gayton and then up Thurstaston Road through Heswall. After taking the cycle path along Telegraph Road it descends to Wirral Way at Thurstaston, and then to West Kirby for lunch (26 or so miles)
After lunch, for those not making their way home (under own steam or from WK station) the route climbs Grange Road to the Beacon, then up Montgomery Hill to Royden Park and up to Irby Mill. From Pensby it goes to Barnston and back to Bebington / Port Sunlight via Rest Hill
