This is a 55 mile ride from Hooton to Lockgate Cafe on the Shropshire Union near Beeston. It is relatively undemanding climbing wise so given the distance to cover it would be run at a top end C pace (12 mph).
From Hooton the route goes via Hadlow Road, across the Marsh and then the Greenway to Guilden Sutton, Waverton and out pass Tattenhall marina and Beeston castle to Lockgate (c30 miles). The return route takes us back to Waverton pass Walkmill, Mickle Trafford, Stoak, A5117 cycle path to Capenhurst, missing link back to Hooton
