The ride starts outside Moreton railway station on Station Approach. The route is 25 miles long, Grade D, so should back at Moreton station after five hours including stops.

The route goes from Moreton to Hoylake along Carr Lane and Meols Promenade, then on through Frankby and Greasby with a ‘banana’ break in Arrowe Park. Then to Woodchurch, up Prenton Hill and past Tranmere to stop for lunch overlooking the Mersey and Liverpool skyline at Woodside Ferry cafe or people can bring their own sandwiches and drinks if they prefer. the route then returns to Moreton station via Liscard and Leasowe.
