This ride follows a circular route, approximately 27 miles starting and finishing at the Red Rooms Cafe, Arrowe Park golf course and including a tour of the street art at New Brighton. It is a grade D ride with few hills involved. From Red Rooms we will cycle through Arrowe Park, before turning up Arrowe Brook Lane towards Frankby. Travelling on to West Kirby and then to Hoylake front, we will stop at the Lifeboat station for a break. Continuing along the front we will join the sea wall at Meols, cycling past Leasowe Lighthouse then turning off the wall just before the Leasowe Castle Hotel to join Leasowe Road. Finding our way to King’s Parade we will then travel to central New Brighton where we can make a short tour of the street art there. The tour will require us to walk with our bikes for short distances in parts. Plenty of photo opportunities here.
On the return leg we will stop at Bluebelles Café, Grove Road for lunch. There is some outside seating for those who prefer to take their own sandwiches although prices are very reasonable in the café. The return route goes via Bidston, alongside the River Birket, through Moreton and Greasby back to Arrowe Park.
