The ride will start at Hooton Station and heads out via the missing link and Capenhurst to Dunkirk. Then through Chester Gates before heading over towards the Chester Greenway via Hermitage Road leaving at Lime Wood Fields. The route passes through Guilden Sutton and Waverton before a lunch stop at Okell’s Garden Centre in Duddon. The outward leg is 22 miles.
The return is back through Waverton towards Mickle Trafford then along to Thornton le Moors and the A5117 cycle path to Cheshire Oaks and on to the Boat Museum. There is an option here to go for the train at Ellesmere Port. The return leg is 20 miles.
There are no significant hills on this route.
